Regardless of the claims of Chile and Argentina, with their nineteenth-century quarrels, the only way to effectively defend the resources of the Southern Cone is to add Brazil as a regional pivot by opening up to a shared South American sovereignty.

Argentina and Chile do not have enough weight to confront the Anglo-Saxon bloc, so adding Brazil to the chessboard, with its demographic/military weight and its BRICS alliance, is necessary to articulate a geopolitical shield that safeguards regional interests.

The Global South must unite and assume a perspective of sovereignty in blocs, of a multidimensional nature, in the face of the advances of the Anglosphere (AUKUS/NATO) on the South Atlantic and the imminent neocolonial plundering of Antarctica.
