Today, I’ve written to @CllrSimonHogg asking for Wandsworth Council to take urgent steps to protect vulnerable pensioners in Wandsworth from the impact of the Government’s plans to restrict eligibility for Winter Fuel Payment 👇
Sixteen months ago, I saw the planting of these Sakura Cherry trees in King George’s Park. They are now in blossom. Thank you @JapanUKSakura and thank you ladies from @AhmadiyyaUK who did the hard work.
@GhendersGraeme If anyone reads the Ofsted report, the period covered by the inspection is from 2018-2022. Didn’t realise Labour formed an administration in 2018.
@aled_rj@wandbc Congratulations to Leslie McDonnell who was recognised for his work to strength the ties between our armed forces, veterans and the community. Leslie, thank you for your contribution.
The opening of @BatterseaPwrStn will celebrate 25,000 jobs, 2 new tube stations, 1,000 apprenticeships and the efforts of 4,000 construction workers.
@WandswrthLabour are boycotting it, through ideological spite. My response on @BBCLondonNews here:
The dodgy hire bike parking in Wandsworth continues! No less than six scattered around and blocking Nine Elms Lane near Battersea Power Station tube plus loads on Shaftesbury Estate. @limebike please collect
Leader of the Opposition Cllr Will Sweet has written a piece for Conservative Home about how Wandsworth Labour have already let down council taxpayers.

Wandsworth Labour cllrs just voted at @wandbc Finance Committee to scrap the budget for Northcote Road pedestrianisation scheme
When I said that this kills the scheme for next year& in the future, Labour Cllr Tony Belton replied “that’s right. Northcote Road is not our priority”
Standing proud next to our amazing young people, thanking our schools, parents, carers, LA school support staff & partners whilst awaiting #GCSE results. Whatever the outcomes, in a year like no other, I thank you all for being fabulous.
Very proud of our amazing young people 🌟 thank you to our schools, parents, carers, LA school support staff & partners. This, after another very difficult year of hard work, dedication & commitment. Whatever the outcomes, this is only the beginning of your bright futures.

The Mayor of London is desperately trying to shirk responsibility for brutal bus cuts that HE proposed. Even promoting a petition against his own decision. It’s beyond belief.
Make no mistake, these cuts are the Mayor’s political choice & do not need to happen.
All eligible properties in Bands A-D, who do not pay their Council Tax by direct debit, can now apply for the £150 energy rebate by following the instructions at https://t.co/SbJE9ZOnrc
Letters will also be sent throughout June inviting eligible properties to apply.
My final farewell as Mayor of Wandsworth on an eventful year 21-22, it has been an honour & a privilege to serve the good people of Wandsworth. Lasting friends have been made & wonderful & generous people I have met in the Borough, my thanks also to the Deputy Mayor @lucymowatt
