Eersterust woman killed by boyfriend after bail release

Tymin Platt, a Gauteng traffic warden from Eersterust, Pretoria, was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend in front of friends on 1 August 2026.

The suspect had reportedly been arrested weeks earlier after an alleged attack on Platt, but was released on bail. He later allegedly found her with friends and attacked her.

The suspect has appeared in court and is expected to apply for bail again. Police are investigating the murder.
