Working-class white people are burning down the homes of black working-class people, at the instigation of the world's only trillionaire. How has it come to this?
Can we all please just stop using the C-word for stuff we read, watch and/or listen to? These artists whose work Google is stealing make MUSIC - not bloody "content"!
@Telegraph Oh come on this isn't new! I went to a Grammar school in the late 90s and half the class wasn't white. They got in because they worked their arses off, their parents supported/pushed them + they were willing to take a long bus ride to/from school every day. They earned their place
@OrevaZSN We got marked down for citing Wikipedia and now the same institutions are telling us to let AI write the whole thing. The standards didnโt rise, they just changed who benefits.
I'm finally reading Dune. This quote, which is in the first few pages, hits hard:
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
@RichieBrave Also late 70s/early 80s Brit Funk: Light of the World, Beggar & Co, Linx, Second Image, Junior Giscombe, Incognito, Hi-Tension, David Joseph, Phil Fearon/Galaxy.
Honestly, what a movement. Loose Ends, Hot Chocolate, The Real thing, Soul II Soul, Musical Youth, Mica Paris, Truce, Kruez, Sahara, Aswad, Imagination, Musical Youth, Michelle Gayle, Omar, Jaki Graham, Kofi, Peter Hunnigale, Maxi Priest, Eternal.
(This is not even a start!)
So let me get this straight:
When immigrants take jobs, itโs a national crisis.
When AI takes jobs, itโs innovation.
Can someone explain why weโre supposed to fear people willing to work, but celebrate technology designed to replace workers?
The constant banging on about DEI is an infuriating American import into the UK.
In the UK we call it EDI. And EDI training is essentially summed up like this:
โDonโt be a knob to other people, and realise some people face barriers you donโt.โ
Itโs not some woke conspiracy.
