While in the Savannah Region last week, I took the opportunity to meet with Constituency Youth Organizers and Other Youth Reps to discuss issues within the party. This forms part of our ongoing interactions with our Regional Youth Wings. Once again, I assured them of the party and government's commitment to their well-being and development. As a party, we may not always get it right, but I assure you that as long as I remain your National Youth Organizer, the party will remain faithful to you. #YouthPower
At the Savannah Region Town Hall Meeting of the Resetting Ghana Tour, I highlighted some of the initiatives the John Mahama-led administration is taking to empower Ghana’s youth through practical action, not just promises.
From the National Apprenticeship Programme, which is equipping 500,000 young people with hands-on skills, transport support, certifications, and startup toolkits, to the Adwumawura Programme, which is investing GH₵100 million annually to support 10,000 youth-led businesses, government is laying a strong foundation for sustainable youth empowerment.
With improved monitoring and mentorship through the National Youth Authority (NYA), National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), and other stakeholders, we are building systems that create opportunities, support innovation, and secure Ghana’s youth's economic future. #YouthPower #JobsForYoungPeople
Last night I delivered the keynote at the 3rd African Energy Technology Centre Conference Gala Dinner & Awards Night, a leading forum on energy, innovation, and policy. My address, themed "Fuelling the Future: Skills Mobility and Next‑Gen Innovation in the Pan‑African Energy Sector," stressed the urgent need for talent development and cross‑border skills mobility to accelerate Africa’s energy transition and to scale local innovations across the region. It was an honour to share the stage with so many leaders and changemakers shaping the continent’s energy future. #YouthPower #JobsForYoungPeople
On Wednesday, May 13th, I joined the For The Future (FTF) Organization for the FTF Impact Summit: Change Makers Dialogues as a speaker at the Swiss Ambassador’s residence in Ghana. Since 2016, FTF has been committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and young people by providing access to education, health support, life skills, and opportunities that empower them to thrive and become high achievers for life. On the occasion of their 10th anniversary, I congratulated the organization for its remarkable impact and encouraged more young people to get involved in driving change and shaping a brighter future. #YouthPower
The opening ceremony of the Youth Diplomacy Institute Model African Union (MAU) Conference took place yesterday at the Foreign Service Institute.
In my keynote address on the theme "Youth in Diplomacy: Shaping Africa’s Future Through Policy and Leadership," I emphasized the transformative power of collective action. I expressed my belief that Africa’s immense potential can be realized through the implementation of strong policies and effective leadership. Central to this vision is the active and immediate involvement of young people, noting that our future relies not just on the promises of tomorrow, but on the leadership we demonstrate today. #YouthPower
This week, we received the leadership of Maphlix Trust Ghana Ltd., operators of the Dawhenya Youth Agricultural Training Center, at the Ministry. Their visit followed our team's earlier engagement at their facilities, where we observed their ongoing initiatives firsthand and assessed areas where government support could meaningfully accelerate their work.
The meeting, attended by Heads of Agencies and Directors of the Ministry, centered on exploring concrete pathways to expand opportunities for young people in agriculture. Both sides expressed a strong commitment to deepening this partnership, and next steps are being outlined to ensure the Ministry's support translates into tangible impact for the youth beneficiaries of the Center.
We remain dedicated to building the kind of public-private collaborations that empower Ghana's young people and strengthen the agricultural sector. #YouthPower #JobsForYoungPeople

Last week, I had the honor of hosting members of the Civil Service Council at the Ministry of Youth Development & Empowerment. This visit was historic, as it was the first time the Council has visited our Ministry since its establishment.
