Georges knew it was all about timing, and this occasion was no exception. He hummed a well-known tune under his breath in anticipation, as he & the other guests stood motionless, silhouetted in the moonlit room waiting for @damnstrange's footsteps in the hall... #birthdaysurprise
Amidst the hot tempo of the swirling jazz rhythms the waitress whispered low into Georges' ear. He knew he wouldn't want to forget this so frantically he searched his pocket for something to write upon. All he found was a dog-eared birthday card addressed to a man named Stephan.
Straightening his shades he stepped forward, surveying what now felt like alien territory. He looked slowly from building to building thinking to himself ‘somewhere around here must sell birthday cards?’
Many happy returns to the eminent Thunder Foot

Georges wasn’t getting out as much as he used to, laying low has become the order of the day however, this was a message he knew he absolutely had to get through. Flinching at the sunlight as he cautiously stepped into the open he thanked his lucky stars for his dark glasses. 1/2
If only it were that simple...on his second time through Georges found himself mouthing the words ‘Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Stephan, Happy Birthday to you’ Georges admired his sparkling hands and whispered ‘many happy returns’ to the air 2/2
Georges always knew this would be a dirty job. He was under absolutely no illusions, this time he would have to get his hands dirty. Scrubbing frantically he began to whistle a tune. What was it the man had dictated ‘twice through and you’re clean’? 1/2
Georges stood in front of the door, his way barred before him. Pounding his fist in a futile gesture his mind wandered to his favourite keeper of the keys, the ever erudite Mr @Stephan_Barrett If he ever made it from this spot he promised to raise a birthday glass in his honour.
Great to be part of the inaugural event at the Grow, Hackney Winter Garden. Nestled amongst plants by the Lea with the lights of trains passing overhead. T'was a magical night.
Excited to be performing as part of Grow, Hackney's launch of its new Winter Garden events space. By the banks of the Lea is where we love to be. https://t.co/GohqFiL1dP

Georges smiled as he listened to the mellifluous tones that reached him from across the stage. 'So you can have your cake and eat it after all'. Raising his whiskey glass (still half-full) he toasted our eminent saxophonist. 'Happy birthday @damnstrange'... #birthday#georgesdigs
Thank you Colliding Lines for a fantastic night of film magic yesterday and to the The Rose Hill for being such a wonderful venue. Thrilled to share the stage with Greenness, Electronic Sound Pictures & Gwenifer Raymond - so many brilliant sounds!
