This week, the Jonglei State Ministry of Health collaborated with stakeholders from various sectors to conduct an emergency risk assessment using the strategic Toolkit for Assessing Risk (STAR). universal health coverage.

Thanks to our donors @UNCERF, @CBPFs, @WHOsouthsudan is coordinating delivery of healthcare in 🇸🇸 through 111 health partners, with 33 responding to the Sudan Crisis. Since April, @WHO has delivered 33.2 metric tons health emergency kits enough to serve over 227,000 individuals.

Massive floods in parts of Jonglei destroyed drug stocks & increased the burden of malaria, diarrhea & other diseases.

To meet huge needs on the ground, @WHOSouthSudan with support from @CBPFs has moved 329 cartons of essential drugs to Bor for faster delivery to response areas

As part of the multi-agency response, @WHOSouthSudan with funding from @CBPFs has moved contingency stocks of emergency drugs to Alali, Akobo, Jonglei, where @WHO mobile team & partners are conducting mobile medical outreaches to attend to urgent medical needs of the population.

Medical oxygen is vital for treating critically ill #COVID19 patients, but supply is a challenge across #Africa.

A new oxygen production plant has been set up in South Sudan🇸🇸 to ease supply shortages & save lives with @WHO & @AfDB_Group support.

Following a successful installation of the oxygen generation plant procured by the @AfDB_Group through @WHOSouthSudan, nine national bio-medical technicians and engineers have been trained on the required skills to operate and maintain the oxygen plant & enhance sustainability.

40 others have been trained on clinical management of rape cases and conflict resolution skills in context of health service delivery. thanks to funding from UN Multi Partner Trust Fund (RSRTF).
