Retired Colonel Ken Grundborg was unable to attend two graduation ceremonies at Georgia Tech due to active military service. Today, he walked across the stage at 88-years old.

Grundborg earned his bachelor’s degree in 1960 and his master’s in 1966 — both in civil engineering. He missed his ceremony when the @usarmy called him to serve his country. He spent 20 years with the Army Corps of Engineers, also serving in the 82nd Airborne Division, the Rangers, and the Pathfinders.

He earned a Bronze Star Medal, Legion of Merit, and Ranger Tab. Congratulations Ken! We’re glad you finally made it! 💛🎓🐝 🇺🇸 #GT26 #RamblinOn

Georgia Tech researchers are using microscopic wires to rejuvenate the cells that fight cancer.

For decades, scientists believed the immune system naturally weakens as we age. We’re planning another USA trip this fall!🇺🇸

It’s going to be a road trip with college football as the main focus, but we’re also planning to check out plenty of other sports and unique American events.

The idea for this trip actually came from our visits to a few colleges on the last trip. Everyone told us how crazy it gets on gamedays, so now we want to experience it ourselves.

Now we need your expertise: Which colleges should we visit? What games are interesting? And what other events or activities (also non sporting related) are worth checking out in September/October?

So far we have these on our list:
- Oktoberfest in Helen, GA
- Texas State Fair
- Breeders' Cup in Kentucky

Meghna Iyer was determined to understand the disease hurting her mother. She joined a lab in her first year and used AI to analyze millions of papers — uncovering connections between ALS, Alzheimer's, and frontotemporal dementia. This new information could help researchers study the diseases together instead of separately.
