Also, there is no way to contact anyone regarding the renewal.

My flight is on 1/27.

@TravelGov Why not offer standby appointments for the people who do not show up because they received their passports at the last minute? I am sure these people don't call and cancel, so that appointment goes unused when someone could have benefited.

@TravelGov How are there no slots for emergent travel appointments in the US? I paid for expedited shipping and processing on my online passport renewal, and here I am, 6 days from flight time, with no assistance and no options. Unable to refund travel and accommodation costs.
