Today I asked what the minister is doing to support the Graham family in the search for their father Scott Graham. Scott went missing in Madrid on July 15th. When Canadians go to their Embassy, they expect to get help. When loved ones go missing abroad, real action is needed.
An open letter to MP Mélanie Joly. I am asking her office to provide further insight into Scott Graham’s missing persons case, to both ensure that his family is better supported & to find out what went wrong while he was seeking aid at the Canadian Embassy in Madrid 1/2
Scott Graham is a 68 year old resident of Victoria who went missing in Madrid on Friday, July 15th. The response from our international embassies & Global Affairs Canada has been deeply concerning. MP Joly has said that her team will be giving special attention to this case 2/2
@AirCanada My family is in crisis, we are booking a last minute on Wednesday from YUL to Madrid to search for our father who is a Canadian reported missing in Spain. What can you do to help us? Global News and various BC news outlets are covering the story.
I was interviewed by Global News yesterday about the inaction of Canadian government regarding my father’s missing persons case.
Please share and @ your officials in Canada and Spain.

@AirCanada please help! We had a flight booked from Montreal to Regina yesterday for our grandfather’s funeral. @AirCanada rerouted us with a layover in Vancouver. Our connecting flights to Regina have all been canceled. We’re stuck in @yvrairport and going to miss the funeral!
