@KeyTryer I think this phenomenon is the result of the anti-AI QTers really liking the piece itself deep down but not being able to admit it to themselves. So the self-justification of “I’m proving how much better my art is than AI!!” allows them to basically draw fanart.

@americakaran @RishiJoeSanu In a broad sense, I think tribalistic social identities of all kinds are exacerbated by zero-sum scarcity dynamics. IMO if you look at e.g. anti-immigration sentiment, the single most important factor in people having them is abundance mindset vs scarcity mindset.
