@willbondspeare I went and it was *mostly* OK - The more I'm hearing the more I'm thinking I got lucky. Messy organisation of crowds and some volunteer stewards were callous. Low point was a diabetic friend being shouted at and threatened with being banned for checking their blood sugars...
@WhosThereDW I had a great weekend but would say the communication seemed to be an issue where many people didn't know where to be or when to be there and were treated a bit poorly by some stewards who were presumably sick of being asked the same questions all day
@willbondspeare 10000%, in the context of the original clip after being asked "What would it take for you to return to Doctor Who on TV" Eccleston responded clearly that he wouldn't want to work with people he felt made it an experience not worth repeating.
@fesshole Definitely won't get locked up, the BBC has been very welcoming of reels believed destroyed as attitudes to film archival have come a long well since junking stopped later in the 70s
@josh_snares Thanks for the series! Always interesting to hear people's views. Being critical while maintaining a positive outlook is as refreshing as always ❤️
Here’s the facts under @UKLabour@wesstreeting if you are trans. This isn’t melodrama - how it now actually is in the UK:
⭐️If you go to the NHS and tell them you are trans, you will be directed to mental health (even though being trans is not ‘mental health’). You’ll then have ‘therapy’ to see if you can be happy other ways.
⭐️The NHS will prevent you from accessing meds to transition, and will insist on you going through the puberty you don’t want, to see if you like being the sex you do not identify with. You might turn into a hot-blooded gay man or lesbian woman - even though both are unconnected to trans. After all, there’s “no harm done”.
⭐️If you dare to go down the private route, the NHS will uniquely withdraw all future care
⭐️If you are a parent helping your child take the private route, the NHS will report you to social services
⭐️If you obtain harmless puberty blockers from abroad - available in all EU countries - you will be prosecuted.
⭐️If you insist you are still trans at 18, you will be directed to another part of the NHS for more ‘exploratory therapy.’ You will not be able to join the lengthy list (decades) to transition until you are 25 - because unlike c i s people, this is when trans brains mature 🤪
⭐️It will be impossible to undo all the “no harm done” changes the NHS insisted you go through, and they will offer no means to rectify them.
⭐️You will find it harder to slip seamlessly into society.
⭐️The NHS and Wes will insist “no harm was done.”

When you’re a massive Whovian and suddenly find yourself getting to play the @bbcdoctorwho theme on the organ of the @RoyalAlbertHall for @russelldavies63 & Murray Gold. Couldn’t stop grinning for the entire concert - had to count rests out loud to stop myself getting too carried away and forgetting to come in 😂 WHAT A DAY. @bbcproms
