Sharing real talk on Africa’s future
The accountability journey continues Ntungamo.
Masaka. Kabale. Ntungamo.
Different districts, different teams, one standard: let the evidence lead, and let justice be done.
Appreciation to the colleagues who received us and to everyone doing this work quietly, day after day.

The accountability journey continues this time in Kabale.
Engagements at the @IGGUganda Kabale Regional Office on the Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project.
Different mandates. One goal: public resources reaching the people they were meant for.

Behind this signpost is work that rarely makes headlines: files reviewed, evidence weighed, witnesses prepared, decisions made carefully because someone’s liberty and someone else’s justice both hang on them.
Accountability is not a single moment. It is a journey from the complaint desk, to sanctioning, to the courtroom, to judgment. Every stage has to hold.

Welcome to Masaka City. 🇺🇬
The clock tower still keeps time over the roundabout, the boda engines start early, and the hills roll green in every direction.
A city of trade, of history, of people who work hard and welcome harder.
Glad to call this home for now.

Africa doesn't need more activity-it needs more productivity.
Today's leadership session, facilitated by @SamuelBakutana , challenged us to focus less on being busy and more on creating measurable impact.
The Africa We Want will be built by leaders who solve problems, inspire people, and deliver results-not by those who simply occupy positions.
Let's build institutions that work. Let's build an Africa that wins. 🌍
Think Productivity, Not Activity.
A powerful reminder from today's leadership session facilitated by @SamuelBakutana
Productivity is not about doing more—it's about creating meaningful results. Strong leadership is measured by the value we add, the problems we solve, and the impact we leave behind.
Thank you for challenging us to think differently and lead with purpose. These are the conversations that build stronger institutions and a better future for Africa.

If you are not registered with URSB, the system will not allow you to bid.

A clear message to suppliers and service providers: business registration is no longer optional paperwork — it is the gateway to government contracts.

Economists say man responds to two things: incentive or danger- the carrot or the stick. But the best leaders know the carrot always outlasts the stick. @mofpedU ,@rggoobi thanks
Everyone is debating whether Uganda can become a $500bn economy by 2040. Almost nobody does the maths out loud.
So here it is.
We’re at about $69bn today. Getting to $500bn in 14 years is a 7x jump — roughly 15% growth in dollar terms every single year. No bad years. No shocks. No slippage.
At the pace of the last few years (~10% nominal), we land closer to $260bn. Respectable. Half the target.
So the gap isn’t ambition. It’s pace. And pace comes from three unglamorous things: exports, productivity, and actually finishing what we budget for.
First oil buys us momentum. What we do with the revenue decides whether 2040 is a milestone or just another memo.

Rest well, Senator Lindsey Graham.
Africa did not always agree with your politics. But in the wards of Lusaka, in the clinics of Eldoret, in the mothers who gave birth to HIV-free children in Durban and never knew your name your work lives.
You fought for PEPFAR when it was unfashionable to fight for anything abroad. You stood in the gap when the cuts came. Millions walk today because of budgets you refused to let die.
May your soul rest in peace. Africa remembers her friends.
