One thing I've had to learn is speaking up as a social media manager. I had a client like this too. We agreed I was only doing page management. Then out of the blues she asks me to create content. It was a simple flyer design and wouldn't have taken me more than 10 minutes.

My friend resigned because her social media manager role turned into: social media manager + customer service + graphic design + help us check this Excel sheet…

She was still receiving the same salary.

Today, they told her to check an Excel sheet and she jokingly said, “Should I start cleaning the office too?”

Her boss responded, “As long as it helps the company grow.”

My friend was shocked and moved to tears.

Anyway, she has resigned, and I hope she gets a job that truly values her work…
