Yea we certainly can't keep/pay all of them in the next couple of years. At some point we may have to package some to trade for a star-caliber player (just hope for a right one). And Jalen has a critical season ahead. I suspect it'll be tricky to extend him at a reasonable price.
Ofc we want one of them to become a true No.1 option on perimeter. At least we have that Type of prospect. The only type we kinda lack is a shot blocking big/unicorn? to cover some rim protection weaknesses. Best scenario is that big can play ALONGSIDE Sengun, not as a substitute
@AbelGe87 yea you can make excuses if there is only one possession remaining & you need a stop. but benching him for the last 3mins is another story. I believe silas got lots of excuses ready. This game being garuba playing good. next game foul trouble, and stamina...and matchup...come on
4th Q 7:45 - When Silas made the decision to NOT sub out Tari & put in Jabari for EG. I literally wanna cry. We finally saw that Tari-Bari-Sengun lineup.
4th Q 3:45 - When Silas benched Sengun and Tari & put in EG with Jabari at 5. I have no choice but to cry. It is absurd.
Put Tari Eason at the 3 in the starting lineup.
And put him on whoever you wanna lock up🔒 on the opposing team, no matter that's a guard or a forward.
Not only D, he also offers rebounding security. and he's proved he can knock down 3s & create a little.
It's just that simple
Jalen's been shy away from contact. When he's going for layups, he's simply trying to be faster than shot blockers. Yes he has the speed, but that's bad habit. To avoid getting blocked, he gotta learn how to initial contact with defenders, which can also help getting to the line
Jalen doesn't have very many dunks so far this season which has been a big surprise, he's actually getting blocked a ton at the rim which is probably why he's settling for these mid range jumpers which he also isn't hitting, it's been a huge struggle for him to find his rhythm
@AbelGe87 actually running the offense through Sengun more and doing more pick&pop with JG will help Jabari a lot. We all know he's not the guy to create offense like Banchero. We got a guy who complements perfectly with our young core, unfortunately they're not running a proper offense
@AbelGe87 Clearly he forces lots of his shots. sure part of reason is his lack of dribbling skills, but another big part is how poorly we run our offense. many times he's open or in good position, but gets ignored. That doesn't help with his patience to wait for good opportunities. I think
