@Montevidian@jojobanner@stephenkilVO@TheLiberal_ie the loss of 25 jobs (a more likely figure) is hugely significant in Roscrea as you well know, I’m sure you’ll agree when I say it was a dispiciple decision by the government to close the last hotel in town!
@Montevidian@jojobanner@stephenkilVO@TheLiberal_ie For the two years before it changed to ipas the government facilitated the closure of this hotel by offering an extortionate amount of money without ever considering the needs of local communities, how sad is it to see so much business transferred to other local towns
@Montevidian@jojobanner@stephenkilVO@TheLiberal_ie Never had a problem with customer service in Racket Hall, their carvery dinner service was delicious, every local function was always held in the hotel, you’re the first person that I’ve ever heard describing it as a “joke”, its closure has proven to be a monumental disaster!
@becibradley @subjectrealit @johncookeradio@drivetimerte@RTERadio1 The frightened look on the children’s faces was caused by the aggressive heavy handed tactics of the public order unit and undoubtedly orchestrated by the minister of justice and the corrupt government to the paint the people of Roscrea in a bad light!
@aussiewombat2@thejournal_ie Glad you posted this, the whole point of the peaceful protest was to highlight the fact that all our local GP’s and schools cannot cope with the surge in population of the town, the GP’s & school principals will openly tell you that!
@stewiedon@HurlerD@DaloAnto A lot easier to get a yellow card nowadays compared to back then ….IMO there’s not much in Gillane’s stroke & it’s a yellow at best ….KK back then were great hurlers but were no angels on the pitch
