The prime minister has told 7.30 his appearance on an episode of the Bush Deep podcast, which attracted criticism over his comments on Kylie Minogue and his melon gaffe, was "an error".
No @albo the error is the fact that you won't own your words and actions
Labor built Australia’s super system, and we’ll always defend it.
The Liberals, Nationals and One Nation don't support super because they don't support workers. It's that simple.
In what universe @AlboMP is what you remonstrated with your hands in relation to “melons” can the be misinterpreted, you sir are treating the Australian people like fools
“Sure, sounds like a lot of fun” - Albo walked straight into the Scotch, sex talk & “melons” podcast, then tried to blame the host.
Comedian Nikki Osborne DMs him for a Bush Deep podcast interview.
He replies straight away: “Sure, sounds like a lot of fun.”
They knock back top shelf scotch.
He talks about his sex life.
Says he’d “shag” Kylie Minogue.
Jokes about the Japanese Prime Minister bringing in “a couple of melons as you do” while gesturing at his chest.
Now he’s under pressure and suddenly it’s all her fault.
Claims he “didn’t know” there’d be shag/marry/date questions (even though she says his team asked to remove Pauline Hanson from the original question).
Says he’s only responsible for his words, while refusing to apologise for the melon comments about a foreign leader.
He just passed Keating’s time as PM and this is what he’s defending.
This is the “real” Anthony Albanese.
And he still thinks he has nothing to apologise for.
Australia deserves better than this.
I thought those on Australia's right were all Pro Free Speech?
Freedom of political expression?
Gina herself has banged on about it. Gina has always been political, more so now than ever.
She's just ANOTHER right wing glass jawed hypocrite.

Pauline says Australians are being “silenced” because people take offence too easily.
The case she just lost? She took offence at a tweet.
Her free speech has always come with one condition-she does the speaking.
Telling a migrant to “go back where you came from” is a racist slur and the Full Bench of the federal court has affirmed that, says Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi. Pauline Hanson has lost her racial vilification appeal for telling Faruqi to “piss off back to Pakistan.”
Jim Chalmers;
Breaking: Over 76K jobs were created in June, more than 1.3M jobs created under our watch.
Labor has overseen the lowest average unemployment of any Au gov in the last 1/2 a century🎉
We will continue to do ease the cost-of-living relief, higher wages & tax cuts 🙏

Owning a home shouldn't feel out of reach.
Labor is helping 75,000 Australians buy their first home over the next decade.
Building more homes. Making the tax system fairer. And helping first home buyers get ahead.
