Amazing to see such diversity of bird life in ‘man made’ waste ground in south Dublin including several lapwing pairs, stone chat, linnet, and even a black duck over 10 minutes of watching! Hopefully I got my identification correct or else I need binoculars!

We are asking for the public and horticulture industry to remain vigilant after we made the first sighting of the oak processionary moth tree pest in Ireland.

Swift action was taken to eradicate the pest including the removal and destruction of the single nest found on the tree.
