Young leaders: You can’t become a leader overnight. It doesn't happen in one day, one weekend, one experience. Instead, you must be dedicated to walking the long road of leadership to become the leader you want to be.
There are certain qualities and character traits leaders must develop from the inside out. Focus on becoming the leader you ought to be on the inside, and you will eventually become the leader you want to be on the outside.
You are not your past.
You are not what you did.
You are not what others have done to you.
You are an ambassador for Christ.
You are God's masterpiece.
You are a child of the living God.
As a leader, one thing you always get to choose is your attitude--the one you'll have right now and the one you'll have tomorrow. It's a continual choice.
“Empathy has been confused with sympathy and compassion. Empathy is not compassion, it is a very compassionate thing to do and a step towards compassion. Empathy is completely understanding where someone is coming from and being able to articulate that.” @VossNegotiation #GLS19
“When we are in proper relationship with God, we entrust Him with all that is in His control, and are able to focus our lives on that for which we are given responsibility.”

Leaders goal: Don’t avoid the tough decisions that will unlock the future and remove “the cork from the bottle.” Avoiding change may mean avoiding new life, momentum and growth.
