Thank you for sharing! It’s so easy to get busy and forget to give ourselves time to be creative and experiment with tech to better support those we work with.
The #1 thing that seriously resonated with me today was this. It was from a session for #edtech coaches by @timneedles & @QueenMel99. From now on, I need to be intentional about making time at work to experiment creatively. It will make me more knowledgeable and help me to help teachers get creative ~ and hopefully inspired to use tech creatively with students!
This was a big revelation for me and I’m committed to it. #FETC
WOW! My students constantly amaze me. Just had the coolest teachable moment about why #accessibilitymatters. My students are creating books in @BookCreatorApp and today a student listened to his book being read aloud. However, whenever the app got to his pictures, it read them as "Untitled Design." This led to a discussion on Accessibility in which I asked my students to close their eyes and try to read their books - they couldn't. That gave me the opportunity to explain about screen readers and other devices that help blind or visually impaired users. Now they are adding #AltText so that descriptions of their images can be read aloud. For context, these are 3rd-5th graders.
Get ready for a brand new Star Wars adventure.
