@tedlieu Does military ID verify citizenship? I think not. You can serve in the US military as a green card holder… but to vote you must be a citizen. Therefore, voting ID must verify citizenship.

@RepTeresaLF That’s because they serve two different purposes… ID for flying is to be sure you are not a danger to the plane or passengers. ID for voting is to determine that you are a citizen and therefore qualified to fly.

@simonateba Simon, Simon, Simon… please stop fear mongering… do you know that to get a passport you need other ID… namely a birth certificate and another govt issued photo ID… therefore you can use the combination to register to vote… with enough warning everyone can get one.
