Unfortunately, I do want a provider. I do want a protector. I do want a leader. I do want a dominant man. I do want emotional maturity and effective communication. I do want mental stability. I do want to be spoiled. I do want self awareness. I do want clingy, obsessed and safe. I do want someone who chooses me every time. And nobody is going to make me feel bad for wanting those things in a partner.

Please raise your daughters to have hobbies, interests, and academics...so when they become adults and middle-aged women they have something to talk about besides a man.
The kindest thing literature does is remind you that your peculiar little feelings have always existed. Someone, in some century, was equally confused by love, bored by society, tired of performing, and hungry for meaning.
Ladies please remember to fill your own cup. You want flowers; go buy you some, you want a date; go enjoy a meal at the bar, you want a new bag; go cop it! We have to stop relying on men to make us happy, happiness begins within. Love on yourself, the feeling is so rewarding.
