I was clearly wrong about Anthropic. They are obviously currently the leader in AI. No company has released a model as good as Mythos/Fable and they will undoubtedly have Mythos 2 ready soon.
And I would never cut them off in a way that hurt them badly, even as a competitor. That’s not my style.
Tesla open sourced its patents and we made the Supercharger network available to all competitors, even though we could have made it a walled garden.
SpaceX launches competing satellite systems with no increase in price or use of unfair terms.
Even my worst enemies can attack me on this platform.

Hasan Piker called me a theater kid a few days ago. Here's my response to Hasan:
Hasan, you're a champagne socialist nepo anchor baby who's never had an original thought in your life, just recycled Reddit-tier talking points and performative outrage. A sniveling coward who hides behind whatever's politically or culturally convenient.
We're both foreigners here, but that's where the similarity ends. I love this country. You despise it. You're a paperwork American, a parasitic opportunist who exploits the goodwill, openness, and prosperity of the American people to fund your degenerate lifestyle while you actively work to subvert and dismantle everything that made America worth coming to in the first place. You peddle godless, anti-human ideologies that erode faith, family, tradition, and liberty, all while cosplaying as a champion of the working class as you burn through millions on gambling, designer clothes, and real estate.
I want to restore America's greatness. You want to burn it down and call it "progress."
And that’s exactly why real Americans will always prefer someone like me over a grifting fraud like you.
@SenWhitehouse The article you forwarded, actually contains the data that invalidates your point. The CAPEX required for wind makes it infeasible. Especially offshore wind.
"Notice of Suspension and Proposed Debarment of Ralph Baric, PhD"
"This is to notify you that, on behalf of...HHS... I have suspended you and initiated proceedings to debar you from participating in Federal Government procurement...programs."

Rep Ro Khana’s pitch for reelection is that he boosted the $5 trillion in covid bucks and steered lots of it back to his district, making he and his Silicon Valley cronies richer.
In other words, he’s claiming credit for the deficit spending that made life in America less affordable.
Yea, thanks a lot.
Singer's blog is very underrated and has become a must read for me on a whole host of topics he covers
"It truly is incredible that Stanford is charging students and their families a staggering amount of money for a mandatory introduction to the life of the mind, and the architects of that very tradition are essentially absent from it. What fills the space instead? Students are introduced to two flavors of determinism: biological (Sapolsky argues free will is an illusion) and social (Lowery argues the self is a social construction) and to a sustained critique of Western education as an instrument of power and oppression. That’s the philosophical orientation Stanford has chosen to hand to 18-year-olds in their first weeks on campus.
The epistemology section is quite revealing. Week 7 of the course assigns 50 pages arguing that Western scientific epistemology should be supplemented or corrected by “indigenous ways of knowing,” at the university responsible for a quarter of all Nobel Prizes in physics awarded to American institutions in the last half century. The students arriving at this university, many of them on their way to becoming the scientists who will extend the tradition being questioned, are introduced to that tradition primarily through its critics. This is a university that has been ideologically captured."
I spoke to McConnell for about 20 minutes this morning.
He said we should end the war with Iran, quit giving aid to Israel, stop spying on Americans without a warrant, and he’s really sorry about how my primary turned out.
"What are they feeding these kids?" @tectonicdefense We run on pure love for the country, a sense of responsibility to defend the homeland, and a lot of coffee.

The next time some Leftist talk about Kings and Dictators keep in mind their party is about to replace a duty elected Democrat nominee for the US Senate with someone who got ZERO vote -- and this is the 2nd time that national Democrats have this
Well done comrades
Ethiopia was never colonized and for decades was the poster child of poverty in Africa.
Botswana was colonized and has been one of Africa’s best-performing economies.
Vietnam was colonized, devastated by war, and heavily bombed. Today, it is doing remarkably well.
Bottom line: colonialism cannot explain why some countries prosper while others do not.
