@HackingDave This would require implementation at multiple layers. That alone makes it untenable. Network transparency is one of the well designed aspects of DNS. DNS lookup is already distributed. Asynchronous "interest" packets seem like a solution looking for a problem.
@derek_torgerson@ProffD4@elonmusk@BillboardChris Every time something is traded, it is done with USD, which have to be bought from the US. Do you not realise the level of privilege this conveys? Personally I would welcome seeing USD replaced as global reserves currency
Really enjoyed "Money" by @davidmcw
A history of civilisation seen through the lens of one of the most powerful and disruptive creations ever.
Excellent narration by the author. Something very engaging about the author reading their own work.
@ChadMoran@smpgallagher@TechOperator@hankgreen I doubt he's being truthful. It's pretty hard to drive 300 miles in Ireland. e.g. Belfast in the northeast to Cork in the southwest is 265 miles.
Also we have plenty of charging infrastructure here.
@The_IMOL @markrussinovich I'm not really sure it matters, once the same metrics are applied to both cases. "Build a service" is nebulous, but if we are talking the same scale, and the "done" point is the same, surely that's valid? Similarly when talking about maintenance...
@FluteMagician @QuietWyatt19 This has been going on for close to a decade. There have even been podcast’s about it. This means that either people know, but don’t care, or people don’t know, even tho this is common knowledge. Neither projects a good outcome, imo.
@OnyxBoox Thanks. Would be better to have the EU shop cover all EU countries. Shipping cost fro HK is very high + import tax. Needlessly complicated when you have EU store.
Anyhow... found a 3rd party seller in EU, so all good.
