I know @RogerMarshallMD, Senator for our great state of Kansas cannot possibly support this. Permanent DST would have over half of all school days in Kansas starting in the dark.
NO! Permanent DST would sunrise past 8am more than 3 months in most states, past 9am in 18 states. It cost children’s lives when last tried! Ditch the switch with permanent Standard Time instead.

But the fact you need to wait a few hours anyway would lend itself to 9 am being a fine start time and you could wrap up work at the 7 pm sunset instead of 8 pm
