Great to meet Micheal D Higgins in St Patrick’s Cathedral today during his final engagement as President of Ireland. For fourteen years, he represented Ireland with integrity, principle, wisdom and compassion. He spoke up for justice, equality, for a fair society and a better world.

We salute his outstanding service, his courage, his inspiring devotion to the Irish nation. We were lucky to have Michael D Higgins as Uachtarán na hÉireann. I wish President Higgins, his wife Sabina and all the family the very best for the future.
