Claro AI

Claro is the AI execution layer for product and supplier data.

A product page can be beautiful and still be hard for a machine to trust.

The question is not only: does it have schema? It is: can an AI buyer identify the exact product, compare it, and verify the facts?

“Complete catalog” is a dangerous phrase. Complete for what? Ecommerce? Customs? ECLASS? DPP? A procurement agent?
Completeness is decision-specific.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

If the source product facts are weak, classification becomes guesswork with official-looking output.
Test it with one of your products: enter its description and country of origin to see which six-digit HS code the rules point to.

HS classification isn't product name → code. It's identity → material → function → intended use → technical characteristics → candidate headings → evidence → review.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

Give us a product that's genuinely difficult to classify. Not a T-shirt. Something horrible. We'll run a few through the HS classifier.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

HS classification is not product name → code.

It is identity → material → function → intended use → evidence → review.

Try it with a product that is actually annoying to classify:

@logisticsviewpt Customs truth isn’t one static field on a SKU.
The applicable classification can vary by destination, origin, composition and effective date, so each transaction needs the right version and supporting evidence - not simply the latest master value.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@AbhinavPanse The harder part comes after the first cleanup: keeping the same facts consistent across Shopify, Merchant Center and agent feeds.
If a price, stock level or variant changes in one place first, the agent may rely on a complete but outdated record.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@JDWheelerCo An update owner also needs a change history.
If a pack size, shelf life or allergen detail changes, earlier quotes and orders should retain the specification that was valid at the time rather than silently inheriting today’s value.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@UgoWisdom001 The next step is making TDS knowledge available at the point of selection, not only inside a PDF.
If curing conditions or resistance limits aren’t tied to the product record, each salesperson has to rediscover them before recommending it.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@jay_neyer The collection page can explain how to choose, while the catalog supplies the product facts.
The difficult part is keeping the two in sync: advice becomes unreliable when products change but the buying guidance does not.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

One product record. Many decisions.
Commerce wants specifications. Customs wants classification. Compliance wants evidence.
Procurement wants identity. AI wants context. Different decisions. Same product.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

What’s the most unexpected place you’ve found business-critical master data - a PDF, an email attachment, someone’s desktop Excel file or a 200-page manual?

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

Most B2B research still looks like: Google → 30 tabs → messy spreadsheet → no sources.

The useful version is a sourced table: company, vertical, products, geography, evidence.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

The PDF isn't your master data. But that's often where your master data is hiding.
The job isn't PDF → JSON. It's evidence → product → trusted fact → usable record.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@deslsoftware Product and supplier information gets much more valuable when changes are traceable.
If a material, cost or supplier claim changes, the system should preserve who changed it, which source supports it and which downstream records should inherit the update.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@happywebro Crawling can fill a lot of product-data gaps, but the source needs to stay attached to the value.
If a spec comes from a supplier page, PDF or image, teams need to know where it came from and whether it is safe to write back.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@newonpolsia Stock and price mismatches are often symptoms of a deeper normalization problem.
A supplier may report per case while the storefront expects per item, or use a different pack size. The alert is useful, but the product/unit mapping needs to be trusted first.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@services_pros Multi-supplier product sync usually breaks at the identity layer first.
If an incoming supplier row is matched to the wrong existing item, every downstream step can be perfectly automated and still update the wrong product.

[Claro AI @getClaroAI]

@Importier Filling missing Shopify details is useful, but the dangerous cases are the uncertain ones.
There’s a big difference between “field is missing,” “field is not applicable,” and “field exists in a PDF/image but was not extracted yet.”
