> monitor for potential customers following your competitors on X/Linkedin, find their email, send an email sequence
> scrape replies of your viral tweet, qualify them, find their linkedin, message on linkedin
> find recently funded startups, find folks with the right titles at those companies
> find lawyers with 2k-5k linkedin followers posting 2+ times a month, scrape people liking their posts, message them.

GTM is only bottlenecked by our imagination right now.

A cold linkedin message led to a live demo with >10 operators deep in AI & GTM.
I had the pleasure of presenting our product to
- Founders of AI startups
- GTM operators at trillion dollar tech companies
- Elite MBA candidates
All because @n_wallyy happened to be in one of the linkedin campaigns @hello_cluster created & invited me on to demo to his community.
Thanks for having me Nick!
And reminder to keep putting yourself out there.
Spoke with an early GTM hire at a 7 fig ARR startup, generating > 250 meetings / year with manual linkedin outreach.
A fun part of helping companies with GTM is sharing what works, so here's their exact method:
1. Follow lead & their company page without connecting
2. Wait one week
3. Send a connection request (no note)
4. Send a message creating FOMO by naming competitors you're already working with. Then, tease a relevant idea without fully explaining it (e.g. "I have some ideas that I think would work for your team.")
This single strat is 95% of their pipeline.
Trying this myself asap.
I see too many people start cold messaging prospects before they've properly tapped their network.
You will need cold outbound to scale, but guess what: It's 10x easier to sell or get feedback from people that already know you to some extent (even if it's a bit uncomfortable).
That's why we've built 1st degree linkedin connections as a native signal in @hello_cluster.
Just connect your linkedin & MCP, tell Claude who it should find in your network (e.g. "software engineers working at startups with 50+ employees, ideally working on agents") and watch it deep research your 1000s of connections in minutes to find ideal prospects.
It's free.
Alternatively, you can also export your connections from linkedin and process them yourself (probably using some combination of an agent harness and exa). Here's how to get the connections from linkedin:
1. Log in to LinkedIn on a desktop browser
2. Click the Me icon at the top of your page and select "Settings & Privacy" > "Data Privacy"
3. Click "Download your data" under the How LinkedIn uses your data section
4. Select Download larger data archive (or choose Want something in particular? and check Connections).
Happy warm selling!
the best piece of advice we got during a16z speedrun:
focus on message-market fit.
a lot of founders will try 1 or 2 cold email sequences and declare "outbound doesn't work" when they don't see results right away.
we worked with a sales coach who showed us the reality of making outbound work for his clients:
- dozens of email sequences sent to batches of 100-200 leads.
- months of iteration with little results.
- but once you do find a winning angle (>1% positive reply rate) ---> you can scale meetings quickly.
why is it hard to find message market fit?
because a good cold email has many ingredients:
1. pain points
2. value props
3. quantification
4. social proof
5. CTA/offer
for each of these, you have multiple options on what to select, which leads to a combinatorial explosion of potential emails you can send.
to find the combination that works simply requires iterative testing with your market.
the good news? with AI you can systematize this process. The key is grounding your agent in real data and an iteration framework (e.g. the ingredients framework above).
with claude & tools like @hello_cluster executing on this just requires a few prompts.
Your competitor's audience = Your ideal customers
Here's how you can reach them with just a few prompts:
1. Think about how your customers engage
- Following competitor linkedin profiles
- Following competitor X profiles
- Engaging with certain posts
- Reddit
- Review sites (like G2 and Capterra)
2. Scrape them
Depending on what you need you can probably use apify/exa/niche saas to scrape it.
If you want to just prompt your AI to get it, @hello_cluster has a ton of signal data in one MCP.
3. Filter to your ICP
Social media has a lot of noise, so filter your list down to people that are great fits (right title, working at the right kind of company, right location etc.)
4. Reach out
Many of the people on your list are probably debating which tool to buy right now. Reaching out at the right time puts you in the conversation.
I would do a simple 3 step automated linkedin sequence with light personalization sprinkled in.
Easy to do in heyreach/dripify, or @hello_cluster's built-in sequencer.
> Outreach so targeted people almost feel weird getting it.
When our startup returned to NYC from SF a month ago I was a little bummed to leave the AI epicenter... but damn the vibes in the city right now are UNMATCHED.
- Knicks going off
- Weather 12/10
- We hosted a padel event
- Rooftop golden hours so good it feels like CGI
- Club is live
Life is good
Attending NY @Techweek_ ?
Skip the generic panels and mid networking over pizza.
Come to @hello_cluster 's padel event on Wednesday instead! 🎾
We're bringing together NYC founders and GTM professionals to get active and chat about what AI workflows are actually helping build pipeline today.
