What an amazing FIRST WEEK of FIRST GRADE with my learners! :)
There are so many enthusiastic readers in my class this year!

Since I'm still building my classroom library, and I want to be able to offer a wide variety of quality reading opportunities for my learners...
I'm asking my reading-loving friends for their help with growing my class library.

I've updated my classroom wish list with the books that we'll be reviewing during our lessons (and a few more to have on hand for my readers who are already beyond first-grade reading levels or who need a bit more practice).

A little real talk...

One of the questions I hear most often is:

"Why is your tuition so much lower than many private schools?"

Many families are surprised to learn that our tuition is significantly lower than that of many private schools in Pinellas County.

The answer is actually pretty simple.

My goal has never been to build the most expensive educational option.

My goal has always been to build the right educational option for the families I'm called to serve.

As a veteran homeschool mom and educator, I believe more families deserve access to personalized, learner-centered education without assuming that an exceptional educational experience must come with an extraordinary price tag.

Our focus isn't on large campuses, expensive facilities, or growing enrollment into the hundreds.

Our focus is on relationships.

Small learning communities.

Personalized learning.

Meaningful experiences.

Weekly Friday Field Adventures.

Music, STEM, creativity, and hands-on learning.

Knowing every learner by name.

Partnering with families every step of the way.

Could I charge more?

Probably.

But I want Empowered G.O.A.L.S. Center to remain an attainable option for families who are searching for something different.

I'm incredibly grateful that Florida Step Up For Students scholarships make that possible for many families.

At the same time, I know many families are investing their entire scholarship award—and still paying thousands of dollars out of pocket each year for tuition.

I don't believe families should have to choose between financial stability and finding an educational environment where their child can truly thrive.

At the end of the day, I don't want families choosing Empowered G.O.A.L.S. Center because we're the least expensive option.

I want them choosing us because they believe it's the right fit for their child.

🏡 Homeschooling Doesn't Have to Happen Alone

For many families, homeschooling offers the flexibility to personalize learning around their child's unique strengths, interests, and needs.

But even the most dedicated homeschooling families sometimes wish their learners had more opportunities to:

That's where our Hybrid Program at Empowered G.O.A.L.S. Center comes in.

Rather than replacing homeschooling, we partner with families to enrich it.

Our hybrid learners join us Monday through Thursday for:

🌿 Daily Connect community meetings
🔬 Project-based learning in Science and Social Studies
🎨 Hands-on Create & STEM projects
🎶 Weekly Music Enrichment
🤝 Meaningful peer interactions in small learning communities

Meanwhile, learners continue working toward their personalized goals at home. After reviewing each learner's i-Ready assessment and meeting together during a Guide–Parent–Student conference, we develop an individualized learning plan and provide access to the curriculum and resources that best support their growth.

Friday Field Adventures are also available for this program!

Children grow in many ways.
