@777Stella_ Problem is the quality of career guidance teachers of which i don't blame them either. I think its best if 'professionals'at their respective field assist in this regard.
@Bandile_Dj_Bibo @777Stella_ Yessss! And schools and teachers have a huge influence on children lives. It would be amazing if secondary schools perceive that the investment is worth it in the long run.
@777Stella_@T_Mann94 I usually go back to where I was schooling to help those learners to understand that there are so many careers instead of being a doctor, lawyer, accountant and etc... Most of us only know about the popular careers while there's a lot going behind closed doors...
@777Stella_ I know people who are highly successful and well paid in the over-looked career paths like HR, Occupational Health & Safety, Agriculture, Compliance, Project management etc
@TebangNtsasa@777Stella_ 💯💯 teachers are not equipped but @getkareerday can be a tool to help them expose more kids to career paths they are not aware of.
@777Stella_ As parents must also nurture natural talent and encourage our children to turn them into career. I know kids who are good at cooking, fashion, sports etc. but are not encourage to turn their passion into meaningful career and later as a business.
@777Stella_ So true😭💔 those were literally the only options given to the "smart" kids in high school.. And now, the average to below average kids are living the soft life through the other careers not advertised in high school while the "top students" depend on their monthly pay checks.
@777Stella_ This here is a real problem! Who says it has to be Science or Arts? Why can't a student have a taste of both? No-one was created with a single interest - this is even more so for adolescents. With the current global trend, there needs to be a balance between career and passion
