Swedes are insanely good at storing data. They have, since 1756, been recording the % of cloud every day in Stockholm. The data I used was previously treated by @SMHI and Anders Moberg. Here’s the weather observations diary of the astronomer Pehr Wilhelm Wargentin from 1756:
