When you're in a meeting with more than one other person it's become professional courtesy to keep your microphone muted when not speaking. This way the background noise from your mic doesn't distract or prevent everyone from listening to the speaker.

Does unplugging and plugging the button back in work as well? Also, if you haven't, please report a bug from inside the app. It helps us debug.

Loving the new @getmutesync button. So much easier to mute/mic yaself on @zoom, now you can choose your own colors! I like red for mic is hot and blue means it’s not. Interpreters, check this out!

@peteroutshoorn We did push out an update to our Chrome Extension and it requires you to grant it the correct permission. It should have popped up a warning but it's easy to accidentally dismiss it.

@petergamesvii @breezeinwood @arappeport In professional settings it's become common that non-speakers keep their microphone on mute. Otherwise background noise from everyone's mic makes it difficult to hear the speaker.
