An update on the Gnosis Pay incident. As of now, the issue is fully contained.
We expect to begin enabling operations in batches on Wednesday evening (GMT+2), with the goal of restoring normal card usage progressively after that. 🧵
There is an incident with the infrastructure of Gnosis Pay. We recommend withdrawing your card funds to your Rebind account.
As there is a high level of activity, there may be delays to do so. Be patient and retry!
Rebind account and savings are unrelated and not impacted.
A bug related to the @gnosispay delay module has been discovered. We are investigating & will share updates as soon as possible.
If you are able to withdraw funds from the Gnosis Pay card to your wallet, we strongly recommend that you do that.
Affected users will be reimbursed.
Comparing FX charges on cards.
Neobank users often ignore this aspect, but it’s something you should pay close attention to.
So I went to a store and bought the same item three times 😅, comparing @Plasma, @getrebind, and @ether_fi.
Let's compare the deductions:
- Plasma: $2.74
- Rebind: €2.34 or $2.72
- EtherFi: $2.74
The winner here is Rebind's @gnosispay which charges no FX fees, while the other two charge 1%.
That’s still very good, as FX fees can easily go to 2–3% and beyond.
