OPEN CALL for African Filmmakers: WHY FREEDOM? (Africa Edition)🎬🌍

In partnership with @TheWhyFound , we’re calling on filmmakers across the continent to pitch short documentaries (5–15 min) that explore freedom, from your perspective, in the context you know best. Political, personal, social, economic, or environmental — all interpretations are welcome.

With democracy and individual freedoms under increasing pressure, this series is part of a global effort to spotlight the many lived realities of what freedom looks like, feels like, or is still being fought for.✊🏽✨

From grounded reflection to bold perspective, we’re looking for 6 clear, compelling narratives — anchored in voices you’re well-positioned to share, with real connection to the people, places, or moments at their core.

Meet the minds behind the mic for Where’s the Money? II . A deep dive conversation on youth-led access to climate finance in Kenya and Africa 🌍💰

This second round continues the conversation on unlocking funding for grassroots action, with a sharp lineup of voices bringing practical, local, and policy-driven perspectives.

Moderated once again by journalist @dennisaseto , who returns to guide the discussion after hosting the first edition.✨
