We understand from Qatar that flights scheduled for departure from AKL in June have been postponed to later in the year – likely not before October. Flights will still depart from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
1/2 We have written to 🇬🇧 nationals under-30 who have registered as being in the Queenstown area encouraging them to take up one of the charter flights home.
If you are interested in returning to the UK this month, please register for one of our chartered flights. These will depart from Auckland on May 11 and 15 and Christchurch on May 13 ⤵️

Today, the number of registered Brits returning safely from 🇳🇿 to 🇬🇧 since 25 March passed 5,000 - through both commercial routes and our charter flights. Thanks to all of you for letting us know you arrived home safely.
Huge thanks to @getushome for the detailed and informative updates over recent weeks. Invaluable for Brits stranded in NZ and their families in UK. Can't thank you enough.
Listen to Matt, normally our Māori Engagement Advisor, talk about the work he's been doing to help British nationals in New Zealand, in our Database team and also deploying to Christchurch airport to see off our charter flights to London. 👇
1/2 New Zealand will move to COVID-19 Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm tonight (27 April). If you were in the wrong place when restrictions came into place, and need to get home, you can now move throughout NZ to do so. You can only move once, and in one direction.
2/2 If questioned, you should be able to clearly explain the purpose of your travel
and how it complies with the Alert Level 3 restrictions. Advice on New Zealand’s Alert Level 3 restrictions is here ⤵️

British High Commission staff were at Auckland Airport today to see off British travellers heading back to the 🇬🇧 on UK Government chartered flights. Thanks to @cathaypacific and the New Zealand Government for your support in helping our most vulnerable Brits get home.
