@MaccaSouth @td_pafc @Argyle Regardless of what the allocation between wage and transfer is, it is still from a combined playing budget. Inflated budgets mean that the cost of having a player is much higher than 22/23. I agree we should be more ambitious with signings but paying doesn’t = better.

@td_pafc @Argyle my point is that by paying him a wage e.g 5k-10k a week that’s 250k-500k a year out of a playing budget. On top of that agent fees, bonuses all mean that even ‘free’ players have a cost.
