The film “Nova” is a collection of videos filmed by survivors of the festival massacre and its perpetrators. It tells the truth. Yet the hateful don’t want you to empathise with Israelis. With those who were hunted and killed. This is the film. Watch it.https://t.co/3sAV2kI8Oq
Somalian militant group Al-Shabaab, which the FIFA referee @OliviaChow welcomed to #Toronto is alleged to have ties with, was designated a terror entity 16 years ago on Mar. 5, 2010.
They’ve carried out suicide bombings, IED attacks & have murdered 1000s: https://t.co/AGvfgBuMmL
🚨 YAZAN MATAR IDENTIFIED IN TORONTO ASSAULT 🚨
Terror supporter Yazan Matar was caught attacking a man during an anti-Israel protest in Toronto on March 21, 2025, leaving the victim bleeding from the head.
That same day, Matar posted an Instagram story holding a Hamas headband.
He has also shared multiple posts supporting terrorism on his Instagram.
This is the Twitter account of Omar Alghabra, one of Mark Carney's new "antisemitism council" members. Not a peep about the arson attack a synagogue in Montreal.
I can't imagine why!
PETITION: Mark Carney appoints two Hamas supporters to his council on antisemitism
Omar Alghabra and Avnish Nanda are definitely experts in antisemitism, but not in a good way. We can’t let this slide.

As President of the Quebec Jewish Physicians Association, I am sadly not surprised by this news.
The rise of antisemitism in Montreal and Canada has real consequences for our healthcare system and our society.
Policymakers should pay attention: throughout history, when antisemitism is tolerated, Jews leave and the societies they helped build are diminished.
Mr Alghabra has been tapped by Carney to solve what he said is a "crisis of antisemitism."
Below is Mr Alghabra's letter condemning the annual UJA Toronto Walk With Israel event.
This isn't it public relations mistake. It's a public relations strategy.
@MarkJCarney@UJAFederation
Imagine having a Prime Minister that laughs at a woman who lost her job and became homeless, only to then refuse to answer after getting called out on making a joke of it.
Well you don't have to imagine.
Here he is.

One Card. That’s it.
Starting July 2, Albertans can get a new driver’s licence or ID card that includes their healthcare number and proof of citizenship, all on one secure card at no additional cost.
No more flimsy paper cards. No more carrying multiple pieces of ID. Just a common-sense change that makes life easier.
As Carney made his way through the crowd at Holy Blossom Temple, every handshake was a betrayal because he hadn't come to help the community, he'd come to bury it.
Carney's appointees to his committee meant to combat antisemitism include:
-A lawyer who is leading a Charter challenge against the removal of the University of Alberta's post October 7th encampment.
-A former MP who lobbied to keep Hezbollah legal, condemned the use of the word 'terrorist' to describe the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and eulogized prolific terrorist Yasser Arafat.
This is a sick joke that won't end well for the Canadian Jewish community, or Canadian society as a whole.
I am one of those “over the top” types, according to how you see these things
Allow me to explain why I think my position is not only reasonable but also justified.
I see the “scourge” of antisemitism, which has raged for almost three years in Canada (but was not exactly a new phenomenon before Oct 7….just not accepted as a social and civic norm as it is today) as being an issue of national security. The intensification of rampant Jew hatred is an issue to be addressed primarily at the political level. And given the mess we now find ourselves in….at the top. He should state clearly what the causes and remedies are. Not address the issue as if it is some big mystery to be sorted out by this new “committee.”
This “scourge” could and should have been addressed on October 8. But it wasn’t. That was a deliberate policy decision, one that has been made every day since.
As for the venue, I am of the view that political matters of national importance are properly addressed in the House of Commons, not in a house of worship. Period. Full stop. It was wildly inappropriate and Holy B knows better.
A little background. I was a member of HB for decades. As was my family. My kids attended day school there when HB hosted Leo Baeck. I grew up in that neighbourhood and raised my kids there too. I was married there by a female rabbi.
Under the current Rabbi’s leadership there have been many political candidates, MPs and MPPs given a platform at HB. They have all been from one party. PC affiliated folks? Not so much.
Now. Not to make it too personal, but when I was appointed Amb to 🇮🇱 by PM Harper, the Rabbi approached me once. To pen words of praise for the ceremonial book marking her installation as Chief Rabbi. I thought it peculiar, to be polite, that she did not think to invite me to speak with my former community shul. I do not think that was an accident.
A synagogue should not be politicized. Holy Blossom has been. Emphatically so. It should not be used by any political leader to address Canadians on a significant policy matter. That’s my firm view and I stand by it. “Over the top?” With respect, Warren, I believe that it demonstrated very poor and short sighted thinking to allow HB to be used as it was. And Canadian Jews will pay for that.
I held that view before he spoke. I hold it today.
You may not agree but hopefully you understand where that view comes from more clearly now. Some friends of mine were at the TA screening. Spoke very highly of the film. Well done. Sadly I’m not in Israel now or I would have attended.
1. Omar Alghabra, appointed to Carney's antisemitism council, didn't just "refuse to condemn" Hamas and Hezbollah. He positively lobbied for them to be removed from Canada's terrorist list.
CPC MP @MelissaLantsman bashes PM Carney's recent antisemitism remarks, saying he offered no concrete action.
She also targets Omar Alghabra, a former Liberal minister on a new antisemitism council, saying he lobbied to keep Hezbollah legal and to ban parts of the Torah.
“I remember Alghabra lobbying me to keep Hezbollah legal”, which begs the question:
Should the man who advocated for designated terror group Hezbollah—whose foundational documents & raison d’être is Israel’s destruction—be on an advisory council combating hate and antisemitism?
Canadian Heritage? Is this not Marc Miller's department?
Terry Newman: Liberals give $100K to antisemitic group to fight antisemitism
Toronto Palestinian Families doesn't support Canada's official definition of antisemitism, likely because its own policies violate it
