Understandable! But that really sucks you buy a smartphone for a decent amount of money and don’t get any updates for years. It is really unfair for global users. 2024 models got stuck in EMUI 14.2 and no further update in perspective!
For HamronyOS, yes that’s also understandable that the system lacks global apps for global users day to day tasks. But at least, I think, Huawei could have presented an option to voluntarily update HarmonyOS. What can be wrong with voluntary choice? Nothing!
And with this, HMOS would gradually gather global userbase to later launching full stable updates for all.

I just still can’t believe EMUI 16! If it is not an update but factory installation, this is unfair to users of previous Huawei models that they can’t update to newest version.
If it is just an update, this means EMUI still lives and no HarmonyOS global in the future.
This is disappointing!
