@FaithFamilyBiz1@BasedMikeLee You personally can define “Christian” however you want, but it simply isn’t factual that Christianity has always been defined by the Nicene Creed. Every dictionary I’ve checked defines a Christian as someone who professes to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, period.
@StallionCornell@nicoraytruth I find it interesting that these people so concerned about doctrinal purity in the Church attack reasonable centrists but remain silent about those who support racism and antipathy for those whom Jesus called the least of these.
@ThoughtfulSaint@barrelagedfaith What is the argument here? Neither seems plausible as a matter of history. You're free to believe them as a matter of faith, but you'd have a hard time finding convincing evidence of historicity.
@be_like_ice It can be an ADHD thing but isn't always. But I will say that for those of us who have it, it can be extremely easy to spend all day planning to do something we genuinely want to do and then not do it.
Dear journalists,
Asking ChatGPT to answer a question and then writing about it with a headline like “I asked ChatGPT how many vacation homes is too many for retirement. Here’s what it said.” isn’t news.
It's lazy writing.
Please stop doing that. <3
@tylerbowyer What do you mean, media isn't even talking about it? I learned about the allegations from the Salt Lake Tribune! (And she's not the leading candidate. She'll probably end up third or fourth at tomorrow's Dem convention.)
So Donald Trump is going to read 2 Chronicles 7:14 at the big Bible reading event tomorrow. It seems to me that the verse (... if my people will humble themselves ...) is fundamentally at odds with his American First agenda.
@JasminRappleye Something isn’t adding up. I just looked at the home page for Mormon Stories, and it doesn’t look at all like a church site. And at the bottom of the page, there is this disclaimer:
@StallionCornell And, speaking as someone who will be at the Dem convention next weekend, that will be the problem if Blouin is our eventual nominee. For Dems who want a progressive nominee, there also are candidates other than McAdams who wouldn't bring such a negative history into the race.
@StallionCornell Of course, many LDS folks likely agree with Graham here. As much as I may disagree with the top LDS leaders on some matters, I'm grateful that they haven't followed the membership in jumping on the MAGA bandwagon.
Let us reject the logic of violence and war, and embrace peace founded on love and justice—an unarmed peace, not based on fear, threats or weapons. This peace is disarming, because it is capable of resolving conflicts, opening hearts, and generating trust, empathy, and hope. I strongly reiterate: The world thirsts for #Peace! Enough of war and all the pain it causes through death, destruction, and exile! #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon
