And Trustmark Park is throwing the giant, loud, weird, wonderful birthday party tonight.

We’ve got two baseball games for the price of one.

We’ve got the biggest fireworks show of our entire year presented by Mississippi Farm Bureau, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, and the City of Pearl.

We’ve got a hot dog eating contest, because freedom.

We’ve got a stilt walker, because apparently walking at normal height was not patriotic enough.

We’ve got an America 250 floral photo backdrop.

We’ve got free bounce houses.

We’ve got Kids Run the Bases.

We’ve got pets invited.

We’ve got free parking.

We’ve got the Mississippi Panthers football showcase between games.

And we’ve got the thing every Fourth of July plan wishes it had:

A guaranteed seat.
Clean restrooms.
Concessions.
Free parking.
No dragging coolers through a field.
No camping out on asphalt.
No wondering if your fireworks view is going to be blocked by a lifted truck.

Just baseball, fireworks, hot dogs, bounce houses, pets, stilt walking, patriotic chaos, and a very real bathroom nearby.

This is the Fourth of July plan.

Gates open at 4 PM.
First pitch is 5 PM.

The party runs all afternoon and into the night.

SWAMP SPLASH DAY is Wednesday, July 1 - and we’re turning Trustmark Park into a ballpark waterpark.

Sprinklers. Giant hoses. Slip n’ slides. A fire truck on site. And yes, a splash-free zone from dugout to dugout for anybody trying to stay dry.

Pack your swimsuit, sunscreen, towel and smiles.

If You Don’t Quit, You Win. Cling to Jesus.

The world often defines winning as trophies, titles, money, followers, or recognition. But Scripture paints a different picture.

Winning is staying faithful.
Winning is getting back up one more time. Winning is trusting God when you don’t understand. Winning is refusing to let go of Jesus when life gets hard.

There will be setbacks. There will be disappointments. There will be days when you feel like quitting.

But if you keep showing up…
If you keep believing…
If you keep growing…
If you keep clinging to Jesus…

You win.

Not because the journey is easy, but because Christ has already secured the ultimate victory.

One of the greatest signs of insecurity is the inability to celebrate someone else winning.

Too many people think shining a light on others somehow dims their own. That praising someone else takes something away from them. That mindset is garbage. Remember EGO stands for Edging God Out!

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.

Strong people build others up. Secure people encourage. Healthy leaders celebrate the success of others.

The Bible is clear:
“Encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Value others above yourselves.” — Philippians 2:3

Jesus constantly lifted others up.
He served, encouraged, restored, and gave credit to the overlooked.

Yet many people struggle to say: “Great job.” “I’m proud of you.” “Thank you.” “You matter.”

That’s a problem.

Comparison kills encouragement. Ego kills connection.
Selfishness blinds us to the value of others. Want to become a better leader, teammate, spouse, coach, or friend?

Shine light on people. Celebrate them publicly. Encourage them privately. Give credit freely.

Your words may be the reason someone keeps going.
The strongest people in the room are usually not demanding attention… They’re giving it away.

Because there are two mountains in life.

Mountain #1: Success. Achievement. Applause.
Chasing what the world says matters.

And here’s the truth…
Even when you reach the top — it’s not enough.

There’s still something missing.

Then comes Mountain #2.
Purpose. Service. Impact.
Living for something bigger than yourself.

Giving more than you take.
Lifting others as you climb.
Walking in faith — not just feelings.

And this is why Easter matters.

Jesus Christ didn’t come to build a throne on Earth.

He came to serve.
He came to sacrifice.
He came to show us that real life is found when we give ours away.

The cross looked like defeat.
But it led to the greatest victory the world has ever known.

The resurrection reminds us:

👉 The first mountain will never satisfy your soul.
👉 The second mountain is where life actually begins.

So this weekend, ask yourself:
Which mountain am I climbing? Because success might get you to the top…

But only purpose — only faith,
will make it matter when you get there.
