@levelsio@amarquet Was doing that before entrepreneurship and product management were “sexy”.
Some of us are really trying to escape that legacy and baggage you describe 🙏🏼
@levelsio@amarquet Not sure what @amarquet theory is, but I know him personally and he’s nothing like the description you posted of “typical Portuguese”
For example, he organizes one of the best product management conferences in Europe - Productized.
@forssto Makes sense. I’ve also seen where people get “punished” for not having first hand knowledge so the system is incentivized setup for the waste you mention
@onejasonknight Thank you for posting this, really. Took me a while to come to the same conclusion. One almost feels ungrateful for having a hard time “doing product right”, whatever that means.
Trying a new thing called "Friday Product Thoughts". This is basically a hack to learn more about #productmanagement and also do something that feels scary as hell. See you in a week!
@johncutlefish@onejasonknight Yes, very well put. To me the most interesting thing is to observe change over time. How it was a year ago, a month ago, versus today. Snapshots alone are always inherently works in progress. But when reading the community, you often get the “end result” and not the messy middle
@onejasonknight This goes unnoticed so often. “We are not doing product ‘right’” because you hear from the same folks over and over can be debilitating for teams and become highly counterproductive. Advice is cheap, context is priceless
