@sweetandsobbing As someone who’s SH’ed for 10 yrs, it’s taboo because people are generally hardwired to not harm themselves. When people see SH, they see it differently from smoking because you don’t have to override instinct not to harm yourself to smoke, etc. It indicates severe mental illness
