I had the honour of delivering the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 2026 National Youth Conference of the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) on August 14, held at the Ohene Konadu Auditorium, UPSA.

Speaking on the theme, “Turning Point”, I shared insights on the importance of a clear national vision, the responsibility of young people in shaping our collective future, and the transformative power of mindset training.

On behalf of the Ministry of Youth Development & Empowerment and the Government of Ghana, I expressed heartfelt gratitude to the IYF for its unwavering commitment to empowering young people and for consistently providing platforms that inspire, equip, and prepare them to make meaningful contributions to national development.

I emphasized that the future we seek as a nation will depend not only on the opportunities we create for young people, but also on the mindset, values, leadership, and sense of responsibility with which they embrace those opportunities. #YouthPower

On Thursday, August 13, I joined young leaders, innovators and international partners at the TICAD Youth Drive 2026 in Accra, held under the theme “Youth Agenda 2063: From Vision to Action.”

The celebration provided an important platform to amplify the voices of young people and deepen conversations around entrepreneurship, innovation and international cooperation.

Ghana remains committed to ensuring that young people are not left behind but are actively carried along in our development journey. Government will continue to create opportunities, listen to young voices and provide the support needed for our youth to lead, innovate and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s future.

Young people are not just beneficiaries of development; they are partners and drivers of it.
