The President showed the way. We answered the call.
Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration) yesterday presented a cheque to that effect to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.
Leading by example. Serving with purpose.
No mother should have to choose between caring for her child and paying for life-saving treatment.
No child should lose their chance at life because help came too late or treatment was out of reach.
This is why we exist.
These words from our Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, are a reminder that the need is urgent and the opportunity to help is real.
Be part of the effort to create more second chances for families across Ghana.
A thought-provoking reflection from our Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, at the UK-Ghana Investment Summit in London.

The construction of cardiology centres by the (GMTF), in partnership with the Ministry of Health, will strengthen access to specialised treatment and bringing life-saving heart care closer to communities across the country.
Partnerships that are transforming healthcare.
Together with Telecel Ghana and Project C.U.R.E, state-of-the-art medical equipment is reaching hospitals across Ghana, strengthening care and saving lives where it matters most.
Through strategic partnerships with the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives, and the Ghana College of Pharmacists, the Ghana Medical Trust Fund is helping expand specialist centres and decentralise care across Ghana.
GMTF and the National Health Insurance Authority complement each others work.
While NHIS provides broad health coverage for Ghanaians, GMTF helps bridge the gap for specialised and high-cost non-communicable disease care, often beyond routine coverage.
We were established to help ease the burden of chronic and life-threatening illnesses by supporting access to specialised medical care for Ghanaians in need.
A national commitment to restoring hope and saving lives.
Behind every life supported is a nation choosing to care.
Through government support, partnerships, corporate contributions, and the generosity of everyday Ghanaians, the Ghana Medical Trust Fund is helping make specialised healthcare more accessible to those who need it most.
Theyβre ready.
Across the country, teams are stepping into hospitals with one job: make care easier to access, easier to navigate, and harder to miss.
Next stop: the field.
Because where you live shouldnβt determine the care you receive.
His Royal Majesty, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, has drawn a bold line around the Ghana Medical Trust Fund and Free Primary Healthcare, calling them lifesaving systems no government should ever dismantle.

For this mother, care is constant and unforgiving.
Her 6-year-old child lives with a kidney condition that requires weekly treatment. Missing just one session can bring on serious complications and undo hard-earned progress.
This is the reality behind access to care.
This morning in Accra, our Administrator of the Fund, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, made a compelling case for a more holistic, coordinated approach to tackling cardiometabolic diseases.
We proudly joined the launch of Ghana's Free Primary Healthcare initiative; a bold step toward accessible, people-centered care for all, and a critical move toward achieving universal health coverage.

Our Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, dropped by the hospital with her team, to observe and to connect.
