Easter in the Book of Mormon is a beautiful continuation of the biblical account of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection. He lovingly visited His “other sheep” and invites all to come unto Him.
Read the sacred account in 3 Nephi 8–12.

"We are only beginning," said Elder @GerritWGong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles at the Harare ZImbabwe Temple dedication, calling for "a new gospel temple culture." https://t.co/RTuEcnc0JM
We rejoice in remembering our Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in humble circumstances. Heavenly angels heralded His birth. He preached the gospel of repentance, hope, and everlasting life.
He opened the eyes of the blind, made the deaf to hear, healed all manner of afflictions, and raised the dead. He is the Only Begotten of our Father in Heaven, the Firstborn of God’s spirit children. Through His sacrifice and infinite Atonement, we can be reconciled with God by obedience and repentance.
In this season of light and goodwill, we rejoice in Jesus Christ and in His eternal plan of happiness. We invite you to seek Him and the blessings of His peace. Merry Christmas!
We live in a world where showing reverence for sacred things is becoming increasingly uncommon. In fact, the world celebrates the irreverent, as any perusal of a tabloid magazine, television program, or the internet attests.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are invited to cultivate the gift of reverence in our lives in order to open ourselves to a deeper communion with God and His Son, Jesus Christ, simultaneously strengthening our spiritual character.
The word reverence can be traced to the Latin verb “revereri,” which means to “stand in awe of.” In the gospel sense, this definition mingles with a feeling or attitude of profound respect, love, and gratitude.
Showing reverence for sacred things gives meaning to much of what we do every day and strengthens our feeling of gratitude—inspiring awe, respect, and love for higher and holier things.
President Dallin Harris Oaks (@oaksdallinh) was announced today as the 18th President and Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The announcement was made during a live broadcast from Salt Lake City, Utah. President Oaks was sustained and set apart today, October 14, 2025.
In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the prophet is chosen through a divinely inspired process. When the prophet passes away, the First Presidency is dissolved, and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, led by the longest-serving Apostle, assumes leadership, confirming the new Prophet through revelation and priesthood authority.
President Oaks, 93, succeeds President Russell M. Nelson, who passed away September 27, 2025.
The new leader of a global faith of more than 17 million members has called President Henry B. Eyring (@eyringHB), 92, and President D. Todd Christofferson (@ChristoffDTodd), 80 to serve with him as first and second counselors in the First Presidency, the Church’s highest governing body.
President Oaks also announced that President Jeffrey R. Holland (@hollandjeffreyr), 84, will be the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. https://t.co/gVaTEXJHsM
With sorrow we announce that Russell M. Nelson, beloved President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has died. He was 101 — the oldest president in the history of the Church.

I'm about to enter and report about my findings in this building. Out of respect to their policies, I will not be recording or taking pictures during the services, but I will let you know exactly what goes on this Sunday.
Just days before President Russell M. Nelson’s 101st birthday, TIME magazine has published an op-ed authored by the prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
President Nelson shared what he described as his birthday wish for the world as he shared two truths that contribute to happiness and peace. His message reminded worldwide readers that 1) each of us has divine worth and dignity, and 2) we should love our neighbor and treat them with compassion and respect.
“My faith teaches me that over two millennia ago, Jesus Christ preached these same laws of happiness: to love God and to love our neighbor,” President Nelson wrote. “After 101 years, I can say that these are not abstract theological ideas — they are practical wisdom. They are what have sustained me through loss and triumph, uncertainty, peace, war, and healing. If we embrace these eternal truths — honoring our own worth, treating others with dignity, and nurturing our families — our lives, and our world, will be steadier and more joyful.”

Even after doing all we are able, sometimes life still does not turn out the way we hoped it would.
Singleness, childlessness, death, chronic illness, mental health challenges, divorce, and myriad other circumstances in mortality can feel debilitating to our eternal progression—but Jesus Christ will make up the difference in His own way and in His own time.
We have a Savior who has taken upon Himself not just the sins but also “the pains and the sicknesses of his people … that he many know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities” (Alma 7:11–12).
The Lord has promised that in the eternities no blessing will be denied His sons and daughters who keep the commandments, are true to their covenants, and desire what is right.
I’ve spoken recently about the need for peacemakers. On this Father’s Day I feel gratitude for all the fathers who act as peacemakers in their homes and communities.
My own father was an example of this during my childhood. And I have tried my very best to carry over his righteous influence into my own family, which now includes hundreds of people—each of whom I love dearly!
Fathers, as you become peacemakers in your homes, you can literally thwart the influence of the adversary. As you demonstrate the charity that true followers of Jesus Christ manifest, the Lord will magnify your efforts beyond your loftiest imagination.
As you follow the Prince of Peace, you will become His peacemakers.
