The Kansas sequences were in Sepia tone, but in order to make the transition to color, they painted the inside of the house AND A BODY DOUBLE to look Sepia. The body double leaves frame and Judy Garland sprints in, in color. How cool is that? (The Wizard of Oz, 1939)
