@FungibleUnicorn@RichardHanania@wil_da_beast630 Yes. An open border policy with unrestricted immigration would destroy the American experiment. I have studied enough to know what percentage being first generation foreign born is too much. My gut says 30% is high. However none if this discussion calls for zero immigration
@FungibleUnicorn@RichardHanania@wil_da_beast630 But if all 12 million Haitians moved to America, we would not cease to exist at all. Most Americans wouldn’t even notice. Why does everyone think the only options are zero immigration or open borders?
@AliceFromQueens@GovAmyKlobuchar Romney was my favorite presidential candidate I’ve ever voted for and I think he would have been an amazing president. I thought the campaign against him was normal. The binders thing was annoying because everyone knew what he meant , but nothing radicalizing.
@politicalmath@ReichlinMelnick Massive difference in a first court date set. And then pulling a court date up by months. And you’re a smart guy you know that. I feel like you used to be a good faith commentator. But recently….
@Steve_Sailer@james19872002@tactical_spork@bendreyfuss I don’t know that The Odyssey was better with Page or Nyong’o in it than without. All I can assess was the art that was made. Your demand for the artist to defend his choices versus your hypothetical is strange to say the least.
@Steve_Sailer@james19872002@tactical_spork@bendreyfuss Why don’t you make your own version of The Odyssey if you are that invested? Artists make the art they want. Do you complain that Grisham doesn’t write a romance? Or that Faulkner didn’t write legal thrillers?
@MatthewTanous@moultano@TheMiddleborne Have you seen the movie? The marketing is nothing. The movie is extremely conservative and makes it clear that defying the gods is what led to disaster.
Re: casting. Are you upset that there were no Greeks cast or is it only out of place browns that offend?
