@Yatra_Care I submitted receipts showing ₹16,500+ in hotel expenses alone, excluding taxi & other costs. Yatra reviewed them and arrived at this fascinating formula:
Customer Loss = ₹16,500+
Yatra Compensation = ₹3,000
I'd love to know the math behind it.
@YatraOfficial
@Yatra_Care First they asked for receipts, giving me hope they would assess my actual losses. I submitted proof of ₹16,500+ in hotel expenses alone Somehow, after reviewing everything, the answer became ₹3,000 I'd love to understand the mathematics behind that "special gesture"
@Yatra_Care Yatra asked me to submit receipts to assess my losses. I shared receipts ₹16,500+for alternate hotel alone (excluding many other expenses) After "reviewing" them, they somehow arrived at the magical figure of ₹3k I'd genuinely like to know how that calculation works
@Yatra_Care A DM saying "we replied" doesn't resolve the issue. The booking failed, the losses occurred, and the customer is still waiting for a fair resolution. That's what people reading this thread should know.

1) To anyone planning to book through Yatra: this is what happened to me. Confirmed booking failed. Family stranded at midnight. ₹16,500+ in alternate hotel expenses (excluding taxi and other costs).
@Yatra_Care Thank you for informing everyone that you sent me a DM. I only wish the effort spent sending updates about replies matched the effort spent resolving the actual issue.

@Yatra_Care@yatra@Yatra_Care A DM saying "we replied" doesn't resolve the issue. The booking failed, the losses occurred, and the customer is still waiting for a fair resolution. That's what people reading this thread should know.
@yatra
@Yatra_Care Thank you. At this point, I believe Yatra has spent more time reviewing my case than it took me to plan the entire trip. I'm curious to see whether this review produces a different outcome—or just another revised token offer.
@yatra
@Yatra_Care Another review? The booking failed once, but the reviews seem endless. I hope this one focuses on resolving the issue rather than finding a new way to justify the same outcome.
@YatraOfficial
@Yatra_Care At this stage, my case has probably become one of the most reviewed bookings in Yatra's history. I'm looking forward to discovering whether this review brings a new resolution—or simply a new apology.
@Yatra_Care After seeing receipts of my actual expenses, I expected a fair review. Instead, the offer simply moved from ₹1000 to ₹2k to ₹3k over a month. The numbers changed, but the approach didnt. Travelers can decide for themselves what that says about Yatra's customer care
@Yatra_Care Don't ask me to reply on the email thread I already have. If your Yatra booking fails, be prepared to bear the financial loss yourself. My documented hotel expense alone exceeded ₹16,500, yet after reviewing the receipts, Yatra's "special gesture" was ₹3,000
Travel accordingly
@Yatra_Care@YatraOfficial
Every reply says, "We're rechecking." Every investigation ends the same way. The facts haven't changed—only the delay has. At this point, it feels less like a review and more like an attempt to outlast the customer.
@Yatra_Care Update: Yatra asked for proof of my losses. I provided receipts showing ₹16,500+ for alternate accommodation alone. After reviewing them, the "special gesture" became ₹3,000. If this is how customer losses are assessed, travelers should know before booking.
@yatr
@Yatra_Care 30 days. Multiple investigations. Multiple apologies. Same ₹1,000 offer. At this point, the investigation seems longer than the resolution itself. I have already rejected this offer and will not accept it.
@YatraOfficial
@Yatra_Care Maybe the CBI should hire Yatra's investigation team. After 30 days, multiple investigations, and countless emails, they reached the exact same conclusion: ₹1,000. Remarkable consistency, if nothing else.😀😀
@YatraOfficial
@Yatra_Care I have already replied on the email thread as requested. After 30 days of "investigation," Yatra has once again offered the same ₹1,000 compensation. If repeating the same conclusion counts as an investigation, they've certainly mastered the process.
@YatraOfficial
@Yatra_Care Another "recheck"? The booking failure has already been acknowledged. The refund has already been processed. The only unresolved question is why Yatra believes ₹1,000 is an appropriate response to ₹15,000+ in losses and a family stranded at midnight.
@YatraOfficial
Yatra calls this the"best possible resolution"a failed booking, a family stranded at midnight, ₹15,000+in additional expenses, weeks of follow-ups, & finally 1,000 The offer says far more about Yatra's attitude towards its customers than any advertisement ever could
