Former U.S. surgeon general Dr. Jerome Adams disapproves of the Trump administration’s Surgeon General Casey Means’ assessment on the measles vaccines, saying “this isn’t personal or political … it's about her not having the basic qualifications to do the job.”
“She does not have an active medical license and would be the first surgeon general ever to be in the role to not have an active medical license,” he says. “But beyond that, to the point you brought up, in the midst of a massive measles outbreak, America needs a surgeon general who can clearly stand behind vaccines.”
Hi everyone! Sadly I went unmatched again. If anyone knows of any obgyn or general surgery PGY1 or PGY2 openings, or any obgyn or general surgery research fellow year positions, or anything at all please let me know #SOAP2026#Unmatched2026#OBGYN#GeneralSurgery
Today we will see Trump explode!
Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez has openly confronted Trump after the latter announced yesterday that he would sever trade relations with Spain.
In his speech, he criticized Trump for his decision to start a war, emphasizing that his country does not support it and, above all, adheres to the principles of international law. He also pointed out that 23 years ago, there was already a major war in the Middle East in Iraq, which had devastating consequences, including increased migration and a rise in international Islamic terrorism.
"Spain opposes this catastrophe. Because we understand that governments are there to improve people's lives, to solve problems, not to worsen them. And it is absolutely unacceptable that leaders who are incapable of fulfilling this task use the smokescreen of war to mask their incompetence and line the pockets of a select few."
Sánchez concluded his speech by declaring that his country would not be complicit in anything that contradicts its values simply because of "fear of reprisals from some individuals," and that he had confidence in "Spain's economic, institutional, and moral strength."
As a former U.S. Surgeon General who held an active medical license and practiced medicine while in the role (at Walter Reed and aboard the USS Comfort) it is incomprehensible that the Senate is even considering a nominee for this role who lacks any active license and has never practiced unsupervised. 🤯
BREAKING: As measles outbreaks spread nationwide and the U.S. risks losing its measles-free status, Trump’s Surgeon General nominee Casey Means repeatedly refused to say she would recommend parents vaccinate their children.
INSANITY

🚨WOW: Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi warns the Constitution is under siege under Donald Trump - and says media layoffs are weakening democracy itself:
PELOSI: “We have a president who has crowned himself king, a Congress which has abolished itself, and a Supreme Court that has gone rogue… Each fact is challenged, truth is distorted, and the press is treated as the enemy.”
She pointed to the painful layoffs at the Washington Post as part of a broader pattern hollowing out newsrooms nationwide:
“A free press cannot fulfill its mission if it is starved of the resources it needs to survive. When newsrooms are weakened, our republic is weakened with it.
Because democracy dies in darkness.”
BREAKING:
Both the White House & RNCC have lashed out at the creators of this ad.
It must have struck a nerve.
Maybe they don't like being outed as fascists.
You know what to do: SPREAD THIS EVERYWHERE!
Video from December 2024 shows Alex Pretti, the man who was fatally shot by federal officers in Minneapolis, honoring a veteran with a powerful final tribute. The veteran's son weighs in on Pretti's death, saying he was one of Minneapolis' "best citizens" and treated his father with dignity.
They will look you dead in the face and say J6 rioters with guns, poles, bats, etc were patriots, but an ER Nurse with a camera and a registered firearm was a domestic terrorist.

I’m thinking about surgery applicants all over the world today as they all receive their first round of invitations to interview for residency positions. Applicants, I am inspired by your accomplishments. Remember we all exist in a flawed system that is stretched well beyond its intended capacity. While programs would love to directly interact with all applicants, systems issues limit our collective ability to do so. Remember an invitation to interview (or lack thereof) is a reflection of that system and not a reflection of your worth. Be bold, be confident, give yourself grace, and embrace the next steps in your professional journey. And if I can be of assistance, please let me know.
