Peter, that is not the case at all. I decided to go without insurance so I could graduate with no student debt. I succeeded in that. I paid cash for all my medical. Most doctors gave fair rates for cash up front. The expensive part in American healthcare comes from corporate hospitals and the like. That is why I am still paying off medical debt. I will pay it too.
